fortiss hosts SSP 201518. November 2015
fortiss was the host of the Symposium on Software Performance 2015
The fortiss Performance Management Group successfully hosted the Symposium on Software Performance 2015 (SSP 2015) from November 4th to 6th in the beautiful TUM Vorhoelzer Forum in Munich. The SSP 2015 brought together performance researchers and practitioners to discuss the challenges and opportunities of conducting software performance management. Overall 62 attendees from twelve universities, twelve companies and two research institutes participated. The SSP 2015 provided a platform to establish and grow an active community around this important and practical research topic.
The Performance Management Group contributed with five talks. The topics of the talks focus on the development of the Performance Management Work Tools. Andreas Brunnert gave a talk about Performance Modeling in Industrial Practice while Felix Willnecker presented the paper Full-Stack Performance Model Evaluation using Probabilistic Garbage Collection Simulation. Johannes Kroß gave a talk about Modeling Big Data Systems by Extending the Palladio Component Model. The presentation by Christian Vögele about Modeling Complex User Behavior with the Palladio Component Model was followed by the talk from Alexandru Danciu A Performance Model Management Repository Based on the Palladio Component Model.
It was a great event with a lot of discussions about current research topics, networking and collaboration opportunities.
